Ideas & Innovation Award 2024
The first Prof. B. Jagannath Kamath Ideas & Innovation Award, ISSHCON 2024, Bengaluru.
The Indian Society for Surgery of the Hand introduced the Prof. B. Jagannath Kamath Ideas & Innovation Award in 2024. It was presented for the first time at ISSHCON 2024, the society’s 47th annual conference, held with the 11th annual conference of the Society for Hand Therapy at Clarks Exotica Resort and Convention Centre, Bengaluru, on 4–6 October 2024. The organising chairman was Dr. Bharath K. Kadadi. A report of the conference is in the ISSH newsletter of January 2025.
Winner
The first award was won by Dr. Joseph Thomas, Manipal, for his entry “Electro-mechanical bionic prosthesis for trans-radial/forearm amputees utilizing redundant pronation/supination of the stump”.
